Workflow is easily interrupted by the little things. Email messages, texts, and short phone calls take so much time, it’s easy to get nothing done except the aforementioned communication that technology has so graciously bestowed upon us.
Ideally, the goal should be to focus on the big stuff first and then tackle the little stuff. This is true in all areas of life, and oftentimes it’s something for which we need daily reminders.
(It’s also noteworthy to mention that technology oftentimes distracts us from the big things–just as it promises to help us manage our time better.)
