How to write

Lists of Note posted a charming list by David Ogilvy on how to write. I really like the beginning, which says, “People who think well, write well.”

Like other lists and books on writing, Ogilvy advises us to communicate simply. This means avoiding jargon, being concise, and practicing continuously.

I’d add only this for becoming a better writer: Read, read, read.

The list, which I’ve linked to, is worth reading in its entirety.
